Training Tokiwa

Kanana walked into the open area behind the courtyards, a servant pulling a weapons cart behind her. It was loaded with all sorts of weaponry; it was time to teach little Tokiwa a thing or two about how to defend herself and fight.

She arranged the weapons by order of difficulty on a long table and a servant took the cart away. She then leaned against the table and waited for her daughter to come into the yard. The child had been given armor of her own; one was never too young to learn the ways of weaponry, although Kanana wished she'd begun to teach Tokiwa sooner. She was dressed in her standard armor, and the slight breeze was helpful for the hot day.

Tokiwa slowly entered the court yard. she was kinda nervous about all this, she was excited to be learning this stuff, but it didn't keep her from being nervous. she was wearing some sort of armor, which felt weird to her, she would have to get use to it. when talked over and started at the differnt weapons.

Kanana straightened up as she saw her daughter, and gave her a smile and a small wave. She was wearing the armor and it fit her well, although Kana could see that it was very different from what Tokiwa was used to and provided a slight amount of discomfort.

She watched as she looked at the different weapons, and smiled. "Are you ready to begin, little one? You may choose from among these." Kanana said, indicating the weapons. There were knives, daggers, hissatsu, swords, katanas, wakizashis, fighting fans, daggered fans, spears, tridents, nets, maces, bows and arrows, darts, poisoned darts, staffs, sansetsukon, short staffs, long staffs, nunchucks, you name it. It was there and awaiting little Kiwa to choose.

"Yes, I'm ready." she would say as she walked over to weapons and looked over them. each had there own differences, and had to be used differently. she looked over each carefully. while many would of just pick the coolest or biggest, tokiwa was not like this, tokiwa had a higher intelligence then many people at her age. at the end she choose a longsword out of the bunch, as it was somthing she saw alot of people using, and while she did want to learn some of the more unqiue ones she had never seen before, she wanted somthing she had seen used a few times atleast.

Tokiwa did not expect for the sword to be as heavy as it was, nearly falling over as she took it, she would dig it into the ground to brace herself with it. "why do things have to be so heavy..." she would mutter trying to lift it up once more, having some trouble with it. "maybe I should of picked somthing lighter..." she would say as it nearly caused her to nearly to fall over agian
